This friendly course is held in a relaxed atmosphere and is a must for people questioning their faith or the meaning of life.
It has now become a globally known introduction to the Christian faith.
St James’ has been running the Alpha course since 1997. It is usually run twice a year, preceded by an introductory dinner at the church.
The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at such topics as ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why do I pray?’. After each talk there is a time of discussion.
Alpha is for everyone – especially those wanting to investigate Christianity, new Christians, newcomers to the church and those who want to brush up on the basics.There is no charge for the Alpha course.
